MBABANE – With a few hours left before AKA’s show tomorrow night, a mad rush for tickets has ensued.

According to DJ Zulu D, who is a promoter for this show, hundreds of music lovers crammed Solani’s Shisanyama and Ocean Basket outlets with only one mission – to buy tickets to the show themed ‘Fela in Versace party with the Supa Mega’.

Conversations

Zulu D said this came after the hype around the show gained momentum the previous week with social media abuzz with conversations revolving around the much-anticipated event.

“On Tuesday, we had a lot of people coming to buy tickets and even today (yesterday) people are still showing more interest as they are coming in numbers to buy tickets. We urge people to buy the tickets now and avoid long queues tomorrow night,” Zulu D said.

Tickets to the show are retailing at E200 for general and E250 for VIP and Zulu D said tickets were fast running out following a slow start to the sales.
The show is being brought to local hip hop fanatics by none other than Solani’s Shisanyama.

The popular South African rapper, whose real name is Kiernan Forbes confirmed his participation at the show through his manager, Tsiamo.
The ‘Jika’ hitmaker’s previous performance in the country last year is still fresh in the minds of fun lovers as he performed at the Hipnotik Festival and further conducted a meet-and-greet session with his fans.

He was promoting his new album titled ‘Touch my Blood’.
“We are preparing for our touchdown in Eswatini and people will have a great time,” he said.
Thandukwazi Hadebe, of Solani’s Shisanyama, also confirmed that ticket sales had shot up.
