NEW WHEELS FOR MR KANGAROO
MBABANE – You get what you work for, not what you wish for! Rapper and music producer Mr Kangaroo, real name Malibongwe Manana, has put the latter statement into practice and succeeded as shown by the new Mini Cooper S car that he has spoilt himself with.
The rapper, who was in a celebratory mood and high spirits after purchasing his first car, showed off his new wheels on his social media pages and so did the people close to him after he bought it last week.
“I always loved the Mini Cooper S. I fell in love with it when I was young and the love for it was influenced by the movie titled ‘Italian job’ which showcases many of them.
“I was supposed to buy it last year but I had to build and buy studio equipment so I stalled the car goal,” said the rapper in an interview with this publication explaining what motivated his choice of car. His first professionally recorded song titled ‘vroom vroom’ confirms his love for Mini Coopers as he raps about the car brand.
wishing
“That song was me tabling down my dream for wishing to own this car and I am glad it came through,” he said.
Mini, also known as Mini Cooper, is a British automotive marque, owned by BMW since 2000, and used by them for a range of small cars. The word Mini has been used in car model names since 1959, and in 1969 it became a marque in its own right when the name ‘Mini’ replaced the separate ‘Austin Mini’ and ‘Morris Mini’ car model names.
According to Avis Car Sales, a Mini Cooper S is worth from E385 900.
However, the rapper highlighted that he preferred to keep the price of the car confidential. He brought the car after doing double night gigs and setting up his recording studio known as Swazi Swagg Records in 2017.
blessing
“Music production generates more money, especially if one has customers like I do. Artists really love my work. I have even produced for five artists from South Africa already.
