SWITCH IS NOT MARRIED!

MBABANE – Christian rap artist Switch is not yet married.  This, as social media platforms were abuzz  last  weekend following the emergence of wedding pictures of Switch posing next to a woman who was also sizzling in a wedding gown.

The craze started soaring last Saturday morning when the rapper shared the pictures of him with the woman on WhatsApp. This was before elevating the publicity stunt to other social media platforms such as Twitter, Facebook and Instagram. 

This was during the same weekend where South African rapper Kwetsa’s wedding ceremony also trended. While posting the glamour-filled pictures, the talented musician and student at the University of Eswatini (UNESWA) gave the impression that he recently got married. This was through the captions that accompanied the several pictures he posted online.

While fuelling the publicity stunt, Switch, whose real name is Mkhulisi Khumalo, shared that he had to keep his wedding ceremony a secret because he did not want to attract any spotlight for his supposed big day. In one of the posts, he thanked his fans, family and friends for their well wishes and support as he said his wedding ceremony materialised according to plan.

Meltdown

The posts left social media in total meltdown as most of the artist’s followers were shocked that he was now a married man, while others congratulated him for the important milestone he had ushered into as a husband. What made the posts spicy was the glittering ring on Thandeka Khumalo’s right hand.
In the midst of all this, the musician once again took to his social media platforms to announce that he was not getting married. He described the publicity stunt as a marketing strategy aimed at drawing spotlight to a bridal shop.
