SMALLZ ‘KILLS’ OVER 300 COMEDY LOVERS

EZULWINI - Nothing beats good laughter and music.

His stage name suggests otherwise but the comedian can actually attract big crowds. Smallz the Comedian, whose real name is Lungelo Gina, has successfully hosted his show dubbed at ‘Mahlaya Mpolaye’ which ‘killed’ comedy lovers with laughter at the Happy Valley Hotel conference room. Comedy nights are known to be about rib cracking jokes but this show was more of a therapy session as laughter is also another way of letting out all the pressure that one faces in their daily lives. While comedy lovers flocked to the conference room, one could already tell that it would be a good night.

The anticipation was palpable prior to the show that had a killer, hot line-up that included Kanyisa Bunu from South Africa, Abuti Lolo, Nonto R, Gedlembane, and Smallz the Comedian.
Before the event could start, the room proved to be full with some people standing.  First to hit the stage was Abuti Lolo, who gave a good opening session, which left fun lovers yearning for more.  As if that was not enough, Gedlembane raised the bar high with his versatile jokes that left the whole room filled with laughter. His jokes touched on mental issues and life in general.

Jokes

He had some of the audience in tears with his jokes. Local talented vocalist, Popzin, whose real name is Liyanda Mkhonta, also made the whole crowd sing along to his latest single titled ‘Vala Umnyango’ The man of the night Smallz, locked it down with his grand entrance as he came out oozing rib cracking jokes with his background Zion song.  Judging by the applause the crowd gave him, he gave comedy lovers  their money’s worth with his killer spontaneous acts. Smallz left the crowd in stitches. Khanyisa Bunu added more fire with her breathtaking jokes about life. The last act was Nonto R from South Africa, who killed it as she had the crowd laughing out loud and on their feet. She shared jokes about the type of men she has dated, which were hilarious.
