MBABANE – Locals had a very eventful weekend during the Eswatini Mpumalanga tour. The event, which was held at Elangeni Lodge in KaMhlushwa, saw a large portion of the crowd made up by local fans.  The lively show played itself out last Saturday night in front of wild music lovers.

When stage performances were callec out, there were prizes being awarded to best performers, local DJs and musicians would have easily come back home as big winners, thanks to their A-game showcase on stage.

With the show starting as early as 1pm, DJs like Wicked, Tibza and Ntombs warmed up the venue with old skool tunes from soulful to kwaito.
The DJs kept the crowd entertained with laid back tunes until late in the night, where the likes of Master P, Mixmash, Matamza, Saint Riolo and Smith Bosso raised the tempo and got everyone on their feet.

Master P was like a possessed man on stage, as he introduced himself with the best of electro music.
He did not only dish out good music but he also moved to the beat, much to the excitement of the crowd. The ever-smiling spinner later infused the upbeat music with hip hop tunes.

Loved

He was loved by the crowd as he got them sweating it out on the dance floor.
Matamza and Mixmash were also popular as they played the best of gqom and amapiano music.

Siyinqaba must have woken up the whole province when they gave it their all on stage while performing their hit song ‘Gway’mane’, the song was enjoyed by the crowd as they sang-along. Due to popular demand, they had to perform it twice.

Mozaik, King Terry KrTC and Nomalungelo also displayed their talent when it came to performing live. They were all at their element, as they delivered heart-warming performances with their hit songs dominating.

Other DJs who rendered great performances included Knoxman, MK Hlophe while Mzwaa brought a soulful touch with his golden voice. The crowd also had fun swimming and mingling with their favourite artists.

The show saw entertainers including DJ Zulu D, 1D and Judah not rendering entertaining performances. Musician Judah said he encountered issues at the border gate while the others were not available despite being scheduled to perform.

Excited

“We are excited about the success of the show. We pulled it off and we are thankful to everyone who attended. We are also thankful to artists for making sure they gave music lovers a night to remember. We are hoping to come back bigger and better the next time we host another edition,” co-ordinator Samu Magagula said.

Mozaik thanked local fans for travelling with them to the Mpumalanga Province.
“Local fans came in numbers and we are grateful for that. We really had a great time with them,” he said.

Local music lover, Senteni Gule said the show was filled with so much excitement and good music.
“I really enjoyed the performances and the vibe across the fans. Nomalungelo performed well, the DJs were just on fire,” she said.
