PRINCESS MAZWEZULU (7) SHOWS VIOLIN SKILLS
MBABANE – The International Youth Fellowship (IYF) Eswatini held the sesory classical choral fundraising concert week Wednesday night.
The concert saw different choirs and soloists taking to the stage to render beautiful melodies.
The choral event, aimed at raising funds for IYF and its education centre, saw a 7-year-old Princess Mazwezulu, a daughter to Inkhosikati LaNgangaza, shining while playing the violin.
According to her sesory music teacher, Yeongsuk Nam, it took the passionate princess only two months to learn the violin.
She received a standing ovation and overwhelming cheers from the big crowd, which had gathered at the Royal Swazi Spa and Convention Centre for the successful show.
The chief organiser of the event and IYF Director, Pastor David Gang, described the princess as a passionate and talented young person who had a particular talent for music.
Shocked
Nam said he was shocked that the princess was very serious and zealous in music than any other pupil.
During the event, Gang excitedly revealed that His Majesty King Mswati III had gifted them with 10 hectares of land at Two Sticks in Manzini to build the IYF offices and education centre. The project is already underway.
Coming back to the heart-warming performances, Enjabulweni Choir got the crowd excited when they sang ‘How does the moment last forever’ while the Sesory Choir thrilled the audience when they teamed up with one of the teachers, Sarah Suk, to sing the songs ‘Circle of life’, ‘Igama Lenkosi Malibongwe’ and ‘Amazing Grace’.
The audience were visibly impressed by the Korean choir performing a SiSwati song.
The show also saw soloists, Youngseok Nam, Sarah Suk and piano player Eunice Han giving their best on stage. A dance display from Righteous Stars and performance from Instrumental Ensemble added to the joy.
Prepared
“We prepared this event to give peace and joy to the audience with music.
“We aim to give hope to all emaSwati regardless of their background and circumstances through our various programs such as mind education, music academy, volunteer service and spiritual counselling.
The people were impressed and uplifted- they encouraged us to continue hosting such events,” Gang said.
Thanked
In addition, Gang thanked the King for donating the land to them.
He further thanked Inkhosikati LaNgangaza, Royal Eswatini Police Service, Correctional Service and Destiny Music for supporting them.
