SIMMY SHOW PACKS SOLANI’S SHISANYAMA

MBABANE - What a party! Megasound Events co-founder Zulu D and DJ NYD proved beyond reasonable doubt that there aint no party like a Megasound party!

This was evident with the hordes of people who packedSolani’s Shisanyama on Friday night.
The annual show, dubbed ‘Zulu and NYD Birthday Party’, was hosted at the ‘Hottest Spot of the Year’ and it saw South African artist Simmy being a headliner.
Simmy performed for over 30 minutes, rendering songs which are dearly loved by many, including ‘Umahlalela’, ‘Ntabazikude’, ‘Sonini’ and others.

She brought dancers with her, sticking to her promise which she made when she stated that she was going to bring her fire with her.
She performed with vigour, casually speaking to her fans.

Performance

Another ‘wow’ performance was from birthday boy Zulu D, who performed with a drummer, giving his rendition an organic ‘feel’.
His set was one of the epic moments of the night, including that of electro house music DJ Tibo, whom together with Zulu D, made champagne showers.

Simmy is a South African neo-soul and neo-folk musician and songwriter. She is popularly known for her collaboration with Sun-El Musician on three house smash tracks ‘Ubala’, ‘Sonini’ and ‘Ntabezikude’.

Her debut album titled ‘Tugela Fairy’ was released on October 26, 2018.
She is currently signed to EL World Music.
