HOMEBREW MUSIC CARNIVAL LAUNCH

MANZINI – Eswatini will see a very musical future. TruSoundz Events has added another festival known as HomeBrew Music Carnival in the country, and this was formally revealed at the launch last Thursday night in Manzini at Yoruba Lounge, The George.


The HomeBrew Music Carnival is a fresh music concept aiming to bridge an identified event gap while empowering local acts.
HomeBrew’s main objectives therefore are to provide a 100 per cent local acts platform set-up under a technical backdrop that meets international stature, and to enhance the brands of local artists and create value and recognition of individual talents.


During the launch, TruSoundz Events Management Founder Sicelo ‘DJ MixMash’ Mashwama revealed that the festival will be hosted in September.

The selling of tickets will begin on July 1 and artists to perform will be revealed between the same date and July 15.
“Since the event is on an annual basis, the aim is to retain 50 per cent of each year’s line-up for the next annual event, while opening the other 50 per cent for other acts who have not been featured.


“This will ensure continuity of the Homebrew brand while enhancing growth,” said Mashwama.
The line-up will mainly constitute of new-age music and DJs with a bit of jazz and afro.

The festival will be held at The George Gardens, an outdoor event venue that can be used for large-scale performances, customised events and intimate gatherings. The facility has a well-kept lawn, outdoor furniture and restroom facilities.


The hosts, TruSoundz Events Management (TEM) is a top-class events company with more than 10 years of delivering events of all sizes and complexity.
Some of their own conceived events include the Annual O’l School Crossover (2016, 2017, 2018), The Annual Easter Sunday Soul Fest, Music n’ Leisure Tours and Jazz Meets O’l School sessions,
