COLOURFUL LGBTI PRIDE MARCH

MBABANE - Love wins equal rights for all.  That was the theme that prevailed at the LGBTI march this past weekend.
LGBTI is an acronym for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender and Intersex.

The event, which took place at Mbabane Club last Saturday, saw flamboyant colours worn by participants to express their jubilant mood. Glitters, rainbows, costumes and corporate logos were noticeable at first glance.

Pride parades may appear to be just one big party but it is a celebration of different people from all walks of life who gather in the name of equal rights for all LGBTIs.

 The rainbow flag has a fascinating story as it stands for all sexualities.
 This past weekend our lenses caught up with a few people who attended the march.
 Judging by the expressions shown in their pictures, they were free and happy as they coloured the capital city.
