SMALLZ BRINGING TREVOR GUMBI
MBABANE – Eswatini’s renowned Smallz The Comedian is ending his shimmery year on a high!
Leading South African comic Trevor Gumbi is set to treat emSwati to his brand of humour on October 25. In an event dubbed ‘The Night Eswatini went to Comedy Paradise’ at Happy Valley Hotel and Resort in Ezulwini, the night is set to feature a crop of some of South Africa’s finest comedians. They will go toe-to-toe with Eswatini’s finest, including Smallz The Comedian who will co-host with his long-standing sparring partner S’lwane. Gumbi is known as an actor as seen in comedies including Ses’Top La among others.
He is also an accomplished writer and voice-over artist who lent his voice to programmes including ‘Jozi Zoo’ and ‘Headline’ from the year 2010 to 2013. Many will also recall him as the host of the travel show exploring South Africa ‘Msawawa True South with Trevor’ among other accomplishments. An equally accomplished comic, he has appeared on some of Mzansi’s biggest including: ‘Oppikoppi’, ‘Rocking the Daisies’ and ‘Blacks Only’. In a statement, Gumbi confirmed his Eswatini performance.

“Lining up alongside some of my most talented colleagues in the game for what will surely be a magical night of laughs, I can only invite and implore the people of Eswatini to buy their tickets in droves as I am confident this will be one night for the books of humour. “It will be one night on which I will only be bringing my A-Game to Eswatini, but it will be one where alongside my colleagues, we will go all out to help everyone forget about the mess 2019 tended out to be at times,” Gumbi said, commenting on his forthcoming trip to Eswatini. Organised by leading Eswatini comic, Smallz The Comedian the night will also provide the stage to one of Eswatini’s fastest rising poets, Poet Thabani and some fine acts the organisers will drop over the next couple of days.
