‘MADZE’ CONGRATULATES CLEOPATRA
MBABANE - Well done! These were sentiments hared by Minister of Sports, Culture and Youth Affairs Harries ‘Madze’ Bulunga after Eswatini country music duo Cleopatra Methula and her sister Temlandvo Methula’s American win.
The two scooped ‘Best Duo’ and ‘Best Rising Star of the Year’ at the Texas Sounds International Country Music Awards in the United States of America on Sunday.
They won against some artists who were from Australia, Belgium, Canada, Spain and the Republic of South Africa among others.
Madze said the ministry was extremely proud of these two starlets.
“We are proud of these two as they have continuously taken country music in Eswatini to greater heights. These prestigious accolades received by the two deserving stars once again underline the potential and capabilities of emaSwati artists.
Congratulates
“The ministry once again congratulates Cleopatra and Temlandvo for putting our beautiful Kingdom on the world map. Our ministry commits itself to continuing its efforts to developing the arts sector in Eswatini,” said Madze.
The Methula sisters are not the first emaSwati artists to win in Texas.
Duo Dusty and Stones won the ’Best Duo’ award in 2017 at the same awards.
