MBABANE - Done, dusted and waiting to drop! This is Eswatini artist Msimisi Sithole’s song titled ‘Menace’ which features South African rapper Nasty C, real name Nsikayesizwe Ngcobo, and Tellaman, real name Thelumusa Owen.

The song was officially declared completed after a listening session last weekend at Redbull Music Studios in Cape Town, South Africa.
The song was recorded in July at Redbull Studios Sithole won a ‘Lift As You Rise’ initiative in June.

Sithole sings the chorus while Tellaman raps and Nasty C does the ad-libs in the song. Ad-lib is speaking in a song without preparing in advance.
When asked what motivated the title ‘Menace’, Sithole said he was not sure as by the time he went to record the song in Cape Town it was already given the title by the producers.

Optimistic

“I am optimistic that this song will be a breakthrough for my music career,” said Sithole.
The stated initiative, ‘Lift As You Rise’, was established by Redbull Music and Tall Racks Records where Nasty C is the Chief Executive Officer (CEO).
Sithole was among the 11 artists and rappers who won the competition and were given the privilege to record with Tall Racks Records artists including Rowlene Bosman, Nasty C, Benn ‘Gemini Major’ Kamoto, Tellaman and others.

Since their win, the artists have been mentored by the Tall Racks Records artists and are set to perform during Nasty C’s tour.
Getting a comment from Tall Racks Records artists proved to be futile by the time of going to print but this publication has a video of the listening session.

Proud

In the video, Nasty C said he was proud of all the artists who won the competition and he was looking forward to seeing their journey in music succeed.
The other 10 artists who won are Deekay-Did-It (Pietermaritzburg), Hanna (Cape Town), KDaVine (Pietermaritzburg), J_Reagz (Cape Town), Tembisile (Cape Town), Priscilla (Botswana), The Real Barry Lane (Nigeria), Thato Jessica (Johannesburg), Jay Hoodsa (Pretoria), and Flow Jones Jnr (Johannesburg).
