MBABANE- ‘Blessed is the hand that gives than the one that receives.’ This biblical quote holds true to some local artists, entertainment influencers and the public at large as they have brought their minds and hands together to help raise a sum of E16 000 for Sakhile Hlatshwako.

Hlatshwako is an entrepreneur, writer, speaker and an advocate for Pulmonary Hypertension in Eswatini.
According to Help Med, Pulmonary hypertension (PH) is high blood pressure in the arteries to lungs.
The blood vessels that carry blood from the heart to the lungs become hard and narrow.

The heart has to work harder to pump the blood through.
The fundraising event was set to help Hlatshwako get an oxygen tank as the one she currently has is a bit heavier and makes movement a high climb.
It is worth noting that this is not the first time a liSwati with Pulmonary hypertension (PH) receives assistance, one of the well-known South African house musicians Black Coffee whose real name is Nkosinathi Maphumulo bought Nompilo a fully-fledged Oxygen tank.

In an interview with the brains behind the whole fundraising concept Mncedisi Simelane who is also an author and motivational speaker, he highlighted the importance of helping one another.

“Sakhile is one of us, we are her friends and I think family and friends are meant to support and love each other,” he said.
The event had an epic line up, with local popular gospel musicians performing for free.

The event had the likes of Lungelo Matse who ushered over 400 people into the presence of the Lord as well as Buhle and Bhelekazi to name a few. Among the audience was Pastor Skhumbuzo who also led by example as he donated a sum of E2500.

The atmosphere of the event was filled with God’s presence such that the Master of the Ceremony (MC) Pamela from Voice of the Church radio station attested to it and thanked the public who were touched by the almighty hand to give.

In an interview with Sakhile Hlatshwako, she expressed her enormous excitement and gratitude to everyone that made the day a success.
“I should say it was beyond my expectations am speechless. I also loved the fact that the presence of God took over and it was not just about fundraising but the event united both born again and un born again youth by his grace,” she said.

Hlatswako went on to thank everyone who supported her, especially Pastor Skhumbuzo, Apostle Nimrod Mabuza and the organising team.
It is worth noting that the machine called the Inogen One costs E43 000 but they have managed to raise a sum of E16 000, the outstanding balance being E27 000.
