MBABANE – South Africa’s Aliphatik is determined to extensively show his love for Eswatini in 2020.

Barely six months after he performed in the country twice, the South African DJ and music producer has landed himself a slot in a Eswatini Broadcast and Information Services (EBIS) show.

The renowned DJ’s mixes will feature in a popular show called House Sessions with Celso, a show that is much loved by deep house music fans.
The show is aired for an hour every Saturday from 2pm to 3pm.

Aliphatik, is an upcoming House Producer and DJ who is based in Johannesburg, South Africa.
Born in Limpopo Province, he brings his own unique and fresh brand of afro-house influenced by traditional African music from all over the African continent.
His latest song titled ‘Aba Dibone’ is a combination of Afro Tech and Tribal House which features authentic Kholebedu (a Sepedi dialect) vocals performed by the Balodzwi Cultural Group hailing from Bolobedu in Tzaneen. Aliphatik’s focus is on exporting the African culture to the world through music.

 Releases

This is evident in his previous releases notably two songs where he featured Congolese Singer and Songwriter Kora Kalenda on Cherrie Aliphatik’s Afro mix originally by  legendary DJ Fresh and Pret De Toi. Aliphatik has been featured on SABC1’s Masters of Spin competition. Aliphatik’s musical influence stems from a tender age where he used to play around with his grandmother’s traditional drums, and this can be heard in his music which has the percussive heavy drums.

Confirmed

Aliphatik confirmed with this publication that he will be featured in the show, stating that he was ecstatic about it.
While heavily present in the country, Aliphatik said he was in search for Eswatini-based musicians that he can collaborate with and this includes songwriters, singers and instrumentalists.  “As long as music can be made with them,” he said.

Aliphatik has worked with the likes of DJ Ganyani, DJ Fresh, Sphectacula&Naves, and House Victimz and many other artists.
