LIBERTY INJECTS E20K FOR STANDARD BANK CHORAL
MBABANE – As the journey towards the much awaited Standard Bank Choral Competition beckons, more and more sponsors are getting on board the wagon.
The competition will take place on April 5 at Esibayeni Lodge in Matsapha from 9am till late.
The latest to add on to the prestigious list of sponsors for the competition is Liberty.
Liberty Life Eswatini is a specialist life insurance company that provides group and individual/personal risk insurance solutions for life changing events in the society.
Briefing
In a press briefing held yesterday at the Liberty Life in Manzini, Eswatini National Choral Music Association Chairperson Sihle Gumbi, together with officials from the association witnessed the presentation made by General Manager for Liberty Life Dumisani Dlamini.
Dlamini said Liberty was proud to be contributing towards the 2020 Eswatini National Choral Music Festival.
He highlighted that choral music in Eswatini and the National Choral Music Festival dated back five decades and had stood the test of time as Eswatini’s remarkable events and arts.
“Liberty regards music, in particular, a very symbolic form of art, and we are pleased to take part in further cementing Eswatini as the world’s capital when it comes to beautiful voices and melodies. Choral Music is liberating by nature, so this event is home to us as an insurer who believes in liberating people through financial freedom instilled in our products,” he said.
He further added that they were meeting their group partner Standard Bank, almost halfway with the sponsorship of E20, 000 towards this choral event that will impact over 200 000 people on April 5, 2020 at Esibayeni Lodge’s Esangweni Hall and they were looking forward to making this event memorable.
He urged choral music fanatics to come expectant, as they looked forward to sharing more about the amazing initiatives they had on the day of the competition.
Speaking on behalf of the Eswatini National Choral Music Association, Gumbi said they appreciatied Liberty Life’s support as this was their first sponsorship towards a choral music competition. He said he hoped that this relationship would go a long way and assured them that this partnership would benefit the choirs a lot.
Gratitude
He also extended his gratitude to Standard Bank for allowing core sponsors to come on board.
Eswatini National Council of Arts and Culture CEO, Stanley Dlamini said he appreciated this gesture and he encouraged other entities to jump at this opportunity to invest in art.
“Choral music is known worldwide with a ready-made audience which companies can use to market themselves,” he said.
The association now stands at E260 000 worth of sponsorships in monetary value since Standard Bank, Macmillan and Liberty Life Eswatini made their contributions.
