MBABANE – We all have to do our part as the pandemic touches us all! These were the sentiments shared by Eswatini businessman and lifestyle/ boutique hotel owner Daladi Dlamini.

Dlamini made an announcement on his Facebook page on Wednesday evening saying that he was offering one of his properties, a boutique hotel, to the Government of Eswatini to be used as a quarantine site.

The announcement read as follows: “Today I offer one of the best boutique hotels in the country to our government to be used as a quarantine site.
‘‘We all have to do our part. Icondzene natsi sonkhe le.” Which is loosely translated ‘this is an issue that concerns all of us’.
located

Emfuleni Lifestyle Boutique Hotel is located in Lobamba at the foot of the Malagwane hill.
This bed and breakfast is 7km from Royal Botanical Gardens Gate and 7km from Mlilwane Wildlife Sanctuary.
The hotel offers a restaurant, an outdoor pool, and a bar/lounge as well as 16 air-conditioned rooms that boast soaking tubs.

Dlamini has been one of the people on the frontline towards fighting this virus as late in March he also joined municipalities that were conducting the disinfection and fumigation of public spaces that included the bus terminals in Manzini.

However, Dlamini preferred not to comment on the issue when the Entertainment Desk reached out to him.
When one of the Facebook users asked if this was all at no cost, Dlamini responded by saying that only his father would know.

discussions

Director of Health Services Dr Vusi Magagula told this publication in a telephonic interview that they had indeed received the offer from Dlamini and had also met for discussions with the ministry.
He said this was still a developing matter which they were willing to take up. however they still had to ascertain whether it was being offered for free or at a fee.

The post had attracted over 1 000 likes and reactions, which prompted some of the users to share the post on their social media accounts expressing their excitement and gratitude at Dlamini’s kind gesture.
