OLD MUTUAL DONATES E10K TO LOGMA
MBABANE - ‘Music does not only touch the spirit but the soul. It brings healing to the sick and mends broken hearts.’
These were the words said by Elvis Dlamini from Old Mutual. When they were officially handing over their E10 000 donation towards the Lockdown Gospel Music Awards (LOGMA). The brief handover was held at the head offices of Old Mutual with the presence of media and the LOGMA representatives. Dlamini was accompanied by Sibusiso Simba, who is a Business Development officer from Old Mutual Eswatini . They shared the mandate of the company which was to serve people by providing financial and insurance solutions. “As Old Mutual Eswatini we are passionate about serving the people of Eswatini, which is why we found it imperative that we give back to the same community we serve through this great initiative . We want to be part of celebrating the music industry and the legends that feed our souls, particularly in such trying times where our resolve is tested with the pandemic we are experiencing,” he said. It is worth noting that Old Mutual Eswatini was sponsoring one of the categories.
Representing the LOGMA organising committee Sabelo Masuku, he expressed his gratitude and shared that the donation made by Old Mutual was going to help. He also shared that they were working on a policy that would also accommodate gospel musicians. “We are excited and we would also like to appreciate the efforts made by Old Mutual Eswatini in celebrating our musician and actually providing financial assistance with insurance solutions,” he said. Masuku went on to plead with other interested companies to help make the awards possible.
“We would like to invite other interested candidates or businesses to help with the awards as we celebrate local talent,” he added. Nhlanhla Mathunjwa also from LOGMA concurred with Masuku and also shared his excitement about the partnership., “This is the beginning of a great journey, I hope our marriage will be fruitful,” he said. The awards will be hosted online on first weekend of November.
