MBABANE – New music alert. Manzini-born artist FleshyG, whose real name is Banele Thandokuhle Malinga has released an extended play (EP), called ‘The Journey Never Ends’.

In an interview with the Entertainment Desk, the rapper revealed that the EP featured renowned Eswatini artists such as Eimsofly as well as Reid Rapsus and was available across digital streaming platforms including audiomack, YouTube and SoundCloud.

He mentioned that the project was mastered by producer named Young Pro, whose versatility is known through different genres.  “It is one of my wishes to make people of Eswatini believe that as local artists, we are able to produce quality music,” he said.

FleshyG has been in the entertainment industry since 2014, when he started taking his talent seriously.

According to the artist, NKO Made That Beat was the first musician to school him on rap music and further taught him how to flow and rhyme.

Stable

“After my stint with NKO Made That Beat I joined a stable called Life Time Music Empire, where I made music,” he said.

‘The Journey Never Ends’ is a phrase the rapper thought of while he was still doing his high school, which depicts the hard work local artists put to cement their names within the local entertainment scene.

The rapper told this publication that he was here to make the necessary changes in making sure that his name was known all over the kingdom.

“Eswatini has a lot of talented rappers and songwriters, but we just need proper attention and good marketing,” he added.

FleshyG further highlighted that he had made a promise to himself that his first project would be about the things he actually experienced and wished for.

Although the artist was born in Manzini, he gives ode to his homeboys at Gege in the Shiselweni Region, where he grew up as they encouraged him to pursue the music craft.
