MBABANE – “The virtual world brings a lot of opportunities.”

These were the words uttered by local vlogger and personality popularly known as Manto Ntusi.

This comes after the Eswatini beauty scored a partnership deal with South African wine brand, Cerderbeg for their current campaign named ‘The Cederberg Circle’.

According to information gathered on the wine brand’s website, the campaign is intended for an inner circle of like-minded wine lovers – for those who know and love their wines.

Honour

To honour this cycle of life, members of the Cederberg Circle receive a mystery box of wine at the start of each season, four times per calendar year.

These wines plus an occasional surprise will be personally selected from the current Cederberg, Longaví and Ghost Corner ranges by winemaker and owner David Nieuwoudt and the Cederberg wine-making team.

The contents of each box will reflect that particular season. It will always be a mystery and always a delight.

Members of the Cederberg Circle will also enjoy other benefits, among others free wine tasting at the Cederberg Cellar by booking prior to the event.

Speaking to the Entertainment Desk, Ntusi said she had not anticipated the recognition received from the brand and as such she was blown away by the collaboration.

Partner

“Initially, I thought I would get a local brand to partner with but getting a Western Cape based brand was unbelievable,” she said.

Ntusi could not disclose the worth of wines she was going to receive as she said the partnership would be determined by the duration of the campaign.

She revealed that she had already started receiving the packages through post for the campaign.

On what inspired the vlog, Ntusi revealed that it was a combination of things she loved doing, which is talking and drinking.

“Since I started the video vlog, I was virtually giving advice to my audience on which brands had the best wine as well as how to pair certain wines with food,” she explained.

She uploaded her first video on Instagram TV (IGTV) in May this year; she said was good entertainment for her audience during the pandemic.

Vlogging

The world of vlogging is still small in Eswatini as very few locals have taken to having their own channels on YouTube or Instagram.

Another local vlogger with an international deal is non-other than make-up artist Khosi Shabalala, who partnered with Woolworths in South Africa for their Sir John and W.Beauty campaign.
