MATRON’S LAUNCH TURNS INTO HER ENGAGEMENT
MBABANE - What was meant to be a book and song launch became a romantic night.
Matron Shongwe, who is a local author, recently launched her book titled ‘Seasoned words for seasons of life’ and her single dubbed ‘Buhle bakho’.
The launch became a special night for her as her boyfriend Wandile Mntshali proposed to her.
The event was graced by a number of well-known people in the likes of Doctor Phil Mnisi, Member of Parliament Nokuthula Dlamini and lecturers from the University of Eswatini to name a few.
In an interview with the future Mrs Mntshali, she expressed her excitement and shared that the launch was amazing.
In her speech, Matron confirmed that she is yet to release other songs and books she has set her heart on.
“The launch was amazing, people came through and my husband to be really surprised me. I wasn’t expecting him to pop the question,” she said.
She also encouraged the youth to pursue their dreams and also ensure that they serve in their communities.
The event also saw the thrilling performances of artists like Sphiwo Ndlangamandla, Mpendulo Mzayoni, David Mkhonta and Mpela Mndawe to name a few.
She said the whole book was inspired by her own challenges.
“Many people have been through pain, including myself; some people have been left broken. This book encourages one about hope. As a teacher, author and speaker I have realised that people become extinct because of pain,” she explained.
More information about her upcoming songs and books will be shared on this publication.
