MSIMISI COLLABORATES WITH OTHER ARTISTS

 MBABANE – Singer Msimisi Sithole is using his social media platform on Facebook titled ‘My quarantine collaboration’ to promote and introduce local talent. 

He has done this through doing a collaboration video with local artists. The artist has done a collaboration video with singer Nhlakanipho Dlamini.

This was confirmed by the artists in an interview with the Entertainment Desk yesterday.

The idea came about to help introduce new talent and also remind people of the talented artists they already knew.

Showcase

“I am happy to have created the platform as people are responding well to it. It also helps me to showcase the talent there is in Eswatini especially now that people spend most of their time on social media.  I would really love the landscape of social media in our country to grow. 

There is a lot of good that comes out of it. Whole careers start-off there and brand recognition explodes because of it but specifically with my collaborations, I’d also love to have everyone experience the diverse talent there is out there,” he said.

Msimisi then pleaded with companies like other countries do to sponsor social media influencers‘s videos to help them raise money.

“Social media is underutilised in our region. We’ve seen that when it’s used well, it’s highly beneficial for both artists and companies. With companies able to market to an audience beyond the traditional means and artist’s releasing quality content. 

Talent

“I mean the global pandemic showing us what direction the world is headed, I believe there’s no better time to jump on the train,” he said.

Msimisi is a local singer who is well-known for not being shy to share his talent through social media. 

The singer got people’s attention after sharing videos of him on his social media platform singing to almost all the genres there are. Msimisi has recently released his single ‘Zumbu’ where he featured local sensation Sands.
