SHERM ART RELEASES DEBUT SONG TITLED ‘THE LETTER’
MBABANE - There’s a new kid on the block.
Simosetfu Motsa, who uses the name Sherm Art for his work as an artist, has come into the music industry and has entered in style as he has released his debut song titled ‘The letter’.
According to Motsa, the song is made up of different types of genres which include rap, hip hop, jazz, blues, expressionism and realism. “As an artist, I internalise the world around, bringing in energy, emotions, and thoughts that are not always my own. I feel that space and environment play a big part of the creative process. The biggest factor in creating, in my opinion, is getting in the right headspace to allow the ebb and flow of creation,” said Motsa.
Creativity
He added that being surrounded by the foundation of life, nature, as well as being in an environment that promotes creativity; he feels that he has been given an ideal location to help hone his craft. Sherm Art is a Telecom major by trade, however, he has decided to take the path of being an artist because of the encounter he has had with other local artists who have helped inspire and motivate him to take on the entertainment industry. “Since then, I have been working for a ‘paint and sip’ company in the NYC area as well as hosting private events where I teach children how to paint in Westchester County. All my other time is spent, networking myself into art shows, creating more content, and expanding my creative platform to not only art, but film and music,” added Motsa. The song is available on all Sherm Arts social media pages and he is currently working on shooting its music video and also work with other local artists for future collaborations.
