SWAZI BOY TO HOST ONLINE CROSSOVER
MBABANE – It is going to be online. With the worldwide curfews put in place for the New Year’s Eve crossover parties due to COVID-19, Swazi Boy Entertainment has revealed that it will be doing things the online way, which is the ‘new normal’.
The party will take place on its YouTube pages as well as DTTV and Zoom from 8pm tomorrow.
Lineup will include DJs such as Crooks, Wicked, Mistosoul, MBO, Fantasy, Karly B, Tibza, Msakrie, Tilungu, Sbu the Drum DJ as well as international DJs from Lesotho and South Africa.
With the resurgence of the second wave of the COVID-19 pandemic, governments across the world have reintroduced stringent regulations to flatten the curve of the virus.
capacity
The virus, which started making its rounds in Eswatini earlier this year, had shut down the entertainment and arts sector for over seven months until October this year, where events were allowed for a capacity of 100 people. It is worth noting that Swazi Boy Entertainment has been one of the stables that have kept local funlovers entertained through their online platforms.
Just after a peak in COVID-19 cases was observed, they hosted glamorous awards named the Social Media Awards, which will also be available on YouTube this Friday evening.
The Public Relations Officer for the stable told this publication that they look forward to entertaining local people through YouTube as it was the only means available.
“We would like to urge everyone to stay at home and keep protecting themselves by practicing social distancing, wearing face masks and sanitising regularly,” Nozipho Masuku concluded.
Currently, a curfew from 11pm is in place in Eswatini, where restaurant operators are expected to close shop at 8pm on weekdays.
More events’ organisers have resorted back to the online platforms for their events as well as on television channels.
