DIBA DIBA PRAISES ILLA PENBOY’S CHARITY WORK
MBABANE – Renowned hip-hop artist Diba Diba has praised Illa Penboy’s charity work in helping many vulnerable and impoverished families through his foundation.
With the corporate social responsibility work that he has done over the past months in assisting the needy families with building material, food, clothes and other basic necessities, the well-known hip hop artist’s charity work has not gone unnoticed.
In an appreciation post by renowned hip-hop artist Diba Diba, he described Illa as a beacon of hope for many emaSwati who are in dire need of assistance since many have been affected by the recent heavy rainfall and the adverse effects which came with the COVID-19 pandemic.
In the post which had garnered over 217 likes, Diba Diba shared, “I see your endless acts of kindness. I see your pure heart filled with unfathomable power which is the power of loving and caring for the less unfortunate and changing people’s lives for the better.”
He further mentioned that the ‘Gcoba-Gcoba’ hitmaker was a prime example of what it meant to have a purpose and to change the world with one act of kindness at a time.
“People may mock you and ridicule you for your flaws and mistakes, but know my brother that some people are so consumed by hate and jealousy such that they forget their own imperfections by blaming it on others,” read the post.
In an interview with this reporter, Diba Diba stated that the work that Illa Penboy’s Foundation had done so far made a difference to many people’s lives such that he had now become a beacon of hope and a miracle they had been praying for.

He said it was important to notice the good that people do in society instead of focusing on the negative. He went on to add that he had known Illa Penboy for a long time such that he shared his experience he had in the past with him when he unexpectedly gave him a gift.
“The point is not to make music to only entertain, but to also contribute to society by making a change with the influence we have as artists,” he said.
He further urged young people in general not to continuously post irrelevant information on social media but have productive conversations that ooze positivity and growth.
Asked on whether his fans should expect new music from him anytime soon, he said: “there is a project I am working on as I am in the middle of shooting a couple of music videos and new music which will be released very soon God willingly.” Speaking to Illa Penboy, he appreciated the love and positive messages which appreciated the work done by his foundation in assisting emaSwati one day at a time.
He mentioned that the Illa Penboy foundation had of late partnered with Pam Golding as they donated building material worth E10 000 which will be assist in building a house for an impoverished family.
“The whole campaign we are doing as a foundation is about changing young people’s lives and changing their perception that they too can make a difference in other people’s lives,” he said. So far, the Illa Penboy Foundation has assisted 100 care-points and over 50 homes on a monthly basis depending on the available donations from emaSwati who contributed with what they had.
