MBABANE- Eswatini’s golden boy Sands is back where he belongs: at the top of the charts.

His new single ‘Emaciniso’ moved to number one two weeks ago, and has maintained the same position this week on the Eswatini Top 20 charts show. The song was produced by long-time friend Sub Jamz. “This song reminds us of how formidable a team Sands and Sub Jamz are, as they continue to churn out hits after hits,” exclaimed chart show presenters Bobo and Thizalami. They lauded Sands for always raising the bar and inspiring throngs of young artists. “He has become a yardstick for artistic excellence, and we truly pride ourselves on his talent and humility,” they said.

released

‘Emaciniso’ was released early this year, and was accompanied by a music video that is also doing well on various TV charts in the region. Meanwhile, firebrand female rapper Oriiginelle moves a step closer to the top with her new single ‘Ufunani’ landing at two from number three. The song features South African artist Spykie Mashele. The track is a follow up to the rapper’s much successful single ‘Emadloti’ which featured Mozaik The Producer. Completing the top three was former number one ‘Sawubona’ by Judah featuring Kena. The song is a follow up to Judah’s hit single ‘Buya sitsandzane’. Meanwhile, five local new entries made it to the charts this week.

Leading

Leading the pack at 16 is Joseph Alexander with ‘Super somebody’; while King Terry is at 17 with ‘The Realtro’. Dance music had its fair share as three Amapiano songs from local artists sit at numbers 18, 19, and 20. The chart show airs on Fridays at 8pm and Saturdays at 4pm on EBIS2, and is co-presented by Bongani ‘Bobo’ Dlamini and Bongani ‘Thizalami’ Dube.
