‘WE PRAISE’ RELEASES SECOND ALBUM
MBABANE – Local television programme ‘We Praise’ has released an album for gospel music fanatics.
‘We Praise’ has released yet another gospel album that will surely serenade emaSwati. The 26-track album comprises of nine local gospel music artists where each recorded three tracks except one who recorded two. The personalities who feature in the project include seasoned artists Smangele Dlamini, Satis Khumalo, Zodwa Mazibuko (Samboko), Makhosonke Mavimbela, Senzo Gamedze, and Mcolisi Mhlanga. New artists featured in the album include Zamar Mabuza, Blessing Dludlu and Portia Praise. The live in-studio album was recorded on December 19, 2020, in Mbabane, at Mpolonjeni. The sound engineer for the album was Scelo Dlamini, who has vast experience producing live recordings both locally and internationally.
Directed
Visuals were directed by Thembinkosi Dube, who has a lot of experience in directing live music videos and television programmes. ‘We Praise’ is a television programme that airs on Eswatini TV every Sunday since the programme features artists who glorify God. The programme Director, Thembinkosi Dube, asserted he saw it fit to bring some of the artists to produce an album. The album’s purpose is to help upcoming artists have professionally recorded music, both audio and video that they can use to promote themselves locally and internationally in starting their respective careers.
Project
Artists who participated in the previous project recorded in 2017 include Fakazi Samuel, Gugu Nyawo, Sphiwe Nyaweni among others. Dube went on to say the project audio will be available on all digital stores from April 16, 2021. “Videos will be sent to different television stations for broadcast and made available for viewing on YouTube.
