MBABANE - It’s 10 doors of opportunities for local artist Makhosemvelo Ndzimandze.

The opportunity to be a TV host has come at the perfect time for the gospel maestro as he had lamented before on how the pandemic has affected him financially.
The show ‘Vezikhono’ that he will be presenting is a TV show that will soon be aired on DSTv and its concept is about giving upcoming creatives/entertainers a platform to showcase their work and talents on television as a means of exposure. Confirming this was the gospel artist himself as he shared with the publication how much this new venture meant to him.

Recognised

“This is big for me, to be recognised in South Africa. The job will surely open so many doors for me,” he said. The ‘Incaniwe inhliziyo’ hitmaker said the opportunity will also allow him to also help local artists to market them  in South Africa as the gig will come with the opportunity of meeting people.  “I believe this opportunity will also allow me to help local artists showcase their craft in South Africa. The current COVID-19 has halted so many plans and most upcoming artists have not been able to break into the industry.  The show will help connect with the right people and their desired target market,” Said Ndzimandze.

Excited

Speaking to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Vezikhono TV, Fisokuhle Mthembu, who sounded excited to have given a liSwati a life-changing opportunity, shared that he met Ndzimande on one of his gospel shows.  “His talent attracted us to him. We believe that he is one of a kind. He also aligns with our mandate which includes empowering upcoming artists. Through him, we believe that we will be able to reach out to emaSwati,” he said.

It is worth noting that Ndzimande is currently shooting his first episode for the show with one of the relevant South African gospel artists Lungelo Hlongwane, who is popularly known for his song dubbed ‘Qhubeka’ with 2.5 million views. “Currently, we are streaming on our Facebook page ‘Vezikhono TV’. We are still waiting to get a slot on DStv,” he said.
