LET’S TAKE IT TO THE BEACH

MBABANE – Durban tourism came to the country to showcase their trademark, but took it up a notch by inviting one lucky winner back to Durban with them.

Juliet Msomi from Johannesburg South Africa found herself really lucky when she won an all-expenses paid weekend trip to Durban this past weekend through a raffle draw which was run through their website. During the prize giving, the deputy head of Durban Tourism, Winile Mntungwa announced the winner of the trip that would take place in September/October 2022. In her package, Msomi will receive three nights of accommodation, two meals a day, site seeing at famous places in Durban like the Ushaka Marine World and she gets to bring along one person of her choice.

The trip was run for the three days that the people of Durban were in the country and it was open to everyone who visited their stand at the MTN Bushfire festival. All you had to do to enter the competition was for you to; 1. Scan the QR code that was on the posters and banners on the stall. 2. Fill in the form that you were then redirected to from the QR code. The form required your full name, cell phone number and email address with questions to be answered. 3. Upon submission of the electronic form you were automatically entered to win. 4. Attend the announcement of the winner on the last day of the festival at the Durban Tourism stand at 15:00pm. The raffle draw saw three Swazi winners’ being called out but none of them were available at the stand at the time of the announcement. They had to continue and look for the second, third and fourth runner-up, Msomi.
