KORROSIVE DROPS EP

MBABANE – Drop it like it’s hot!
 The young talented Korrosive has released his first Extended Playlist (EP). The EP which has three songs was released last week Friday. The three songs are: include Swallien, Gibithe and Centenaire. He performed these songs at the recent MTN Bushfire Firefly stage. The Hip Hop artist born Soncoba Caleb Mavimbela hails from Manzini. Mavimbela started his musical journey when he was only 13-years-old. This is where he mastered the skill of music production by adding vocals to the beats done by his brother... Over the years he has dropped quite a number of singles which include Ngavuka, Blessings, iJuice to name few which helped him gain recognition in the industry.

Back in 2020, the young artist composed a song with a trap sound, which has a slow BPM hard 808 kick to it, which is common in Atlanta. Some of the artists who have used this method are: Gunna, Lib Baby, Future and Young Thug. Mavimbela fused the sound with his home language ‘Siswati’ and with unique flows he managed to record the song ‘SWALIEN’, which is also the name of his new album yet to be released. The term Swalien basically refers to a hypothetical fictional race from outer space, they possess superior intelligence and drip.

“ ‘SWALIEN’ is more than just a song or a hypothetical concept, but a lifestyle or ‘wave’ which is focused on fashion, good music, positivity, good energy, love and space.” The young artist highlighted that he has always been fascinated by space and Unidentified Flying Objects (UFO) since childhood, which made him come up with the idea that will express the extra-terrestrial interest he had. When reached for comment Mavimbela expressed his excitement about his latest milestone.

“I’m excited to drop these songs because they are going to give people an idea of the direction where I’m taking in music , which is fashion, spreading good vibes, promoting confidence and overall consciousness,” said the rapper. The rapper in most of his songs talks about his lifestyle, which he hopes will inspire; people who are to listen to the EP. The EP is available on SoundCloud, AUDIOMACK, slikouronlife, YouTube, and HYPEMAGAZINE.

The Korrosive Brand in collaboration with Puxzel creations & Focus Tales were behind the mechanics of the album with the creative side handled by the rapper. It also has an interview at the end conducted by Puxzel creations where I’m explaining the Concept “SWALIEN”.
