MANZINI - The Biggest Braai’s only international act Aubrey Qwana lived up to everyone’s expectations as he delivered an electrifying performance.

Held at the Mavuso Trade and Exhibition Centre, the event saw over 2 000 people converge to enjoy meat and music. Qwana known for his popular hit song ‘Molo’ took to stage around midnight and immediately commanded everyone’s attention. He come prepared for the show as he rocked leather pants, and a hoodie inscribed ‘the king is back’ “Baba lunzima nantu’hambo, Hambo lyekhaya emazulwini Ludlulakhona emathuneni Sisendleleni yobunzima” went his lyrics which had everyone highly emotional. The visibly shy but energetic Qwana would from time to time go Acapella on his song.  “Stop the music, I love Eswatini so much this feels like a second home,” he said while on stage preparing to perform a choreographed dance.  The crowd sang along to his songs and chanted his name for every tune he belted out.

Meanwhile, local artists did not disappoint music lovers, as they also gave electrifying performances throughout the day and night. Jazz music group, the Police Band eased the crowd into a great day.   Nana Magagula had everyone eating from the palm of her hands with her energetic performance.
She stole the show for literally a good two minutes; she jumped onto stage with her colourful dress and persona to deliver an up-tempo feel good jazz session.

Performance

Her performance was well received and acclaimed as one of the best, especially since she was not part of the line-up. She dazzled her fans with her all-time hit songs ‘Koboyi Koboyi’. The line-up definitely varied as RnB/Soul music artists were among the acts of the day and dazzled the crowd with their vocals and soothing sounds. MCs Sphesihle Nkwanyana and Welz Wethu  did not disappoint as they executed their duties with ease and kept the crowd laughing and dancing. DJs also brought their A game ,despite that others didn’t get the chance to perform but those who did gave the crowd their money’s worth.  Amapiano and house jockey DJ Tap played for a good hour and had everyone dancing. He was soon followed by Sbu the Drum who literally shook the arena. The talented drummer and DJ was the crowd’s favourite. Reflecting, Zulu D said the event was much better and he was happy that he got to perform before the crowd got rowdy.  His sentiments were echoed by Philani Maswati Chairman and Ndzingeni Member of Parliament (MP), Lutfo Dlamini who said he was happy with the performances from local artists.
