Mbabane – The time has come!

The South African (SA) leading Gospel mass choir will perform in the Kingdom of Eswatini on Saturday at the Mavuso Trade Centre. Gates will open at 4.30pm, and the show will start at 6pm.The world travelled choir has promised to bring along with them a few SA Gospel artists.

Theme

The theme of this year’s show is dubbed, ‘Joy’. The choir promises to reboot the spirits of people and spread the joy that was stolen by the COVID-19 pandemic. Jabu Hlongwane mentioned that this show will be a time to tap into their source of joy and go back to God.  He mentioned that they saw the need of a spiritual revival in their own country and remembered the great relationship that they have with the nation, and saw the need to help the people of Eswatini through their journey of finding themselves in a better place. Nhlanhla Mathunjwa, of Umvini’s Events Management’, who is bringing the choir to our shores, confirmed the addition of the cast adding that preparations of the show were in their final stage.

Mathunjwa is also the Public Relations Officer (PRO) of the Association of Christian Artists in Eswatini (ACAESWA). “Joyous Celebration is indeed coming with a few known SA acts. I am excited to mention that this year; it will be indeed a class of its own show. The choir has confirmed bringing all its well-known members,” said Mathunjwa.  This year’s show has a line-up full of surprises for all who will be in attendance, especially the VIP guests. Local Gospel acts who will grace the stage are; Nothando Dlamini, Phetsile Masilela, Sphiwo Ndoni, Fakazi Samuels and new comer, Machawe Simelane.

It will not be the first time for the company to host the celebrated Gospel choir; they first hosted the group in 2014, held at the Mavuso Trade and Exhibition Centre. The company was also involved in managing the last show in 2018. Mathunjwa encouraged Gospel music lovers to continue buying tickets to avoid disappointments. Mathunjwa also shared that tickets were selling out fast.  Limited tickets can be purchased at Galitos and Ocean Basket. General tickets cost E350 and VIP E600.
