#ITSOK TO BE DIFFERENT SCHOOLS TOUR
MBABANE - After announcing that this year Epic Gig was re-emerging with a new campaign, #IT’SOKTOBEDIFFERENT the Epic Gig team will embark on a schools tour under the slogan.
This year will mark the fourth episode which will include a spectacular line-up of phenomenon artists from both Eswatini and South Africa. The event will also be a three- day festival from this year. It will be held at Mavuso Trade and Exhibition Centre from June 30 to 2 July. According to the Public Relations Officer (PRO) of Epic Gig Makhosazane Pascua Pelembe. As of Friday 28 April, the youth driven festival has been visiting various high schools in the kingdom to spread the message of the uniqueness in being different and how that is okay. “It’s worth noting that the aim of Epic Gig is to unearth talent from high school level and Ignite confidence in them to strive for what they believe in. The tour will also be to show the high scholars the importance of embracing each and everyone’s differences, said the PRO.”
Pelembe went on to say that Epic Gig is big on youth and its empowerment so meeting with children at schools will be the perfect opportunity for Epic Gig team to encourage individuality in young kids. “On the tour, the team will be encouraging the high school students on matters that have been said to create challenges for them in this stage of life. Talent will also be given much attention as on the days of the tours, the aspiring artists in the various schools will be given an opportunity to perform for their peers, igniting a spark to focus on sharpening their skills and also building their confidence,” said Pelembe.
