FNB PLEDGES E600K FOR ARTS ROUND TABLE
MALKERNS – The First National Bank (FNB) Eswatini has sponsored this year’s MTN Bushfire Arts Round Table with E600 000.
This was announced at the Arts Round Table launch, which was held at House On Fire yesterday. It was also mentioned that part of the sponsorship, which amounts to E200 000, will go directly to support the Arts Round Table conference. With this sponsorship, the MTN Bushfire Festival aims to ignite the spirit of the Eswatini creative and cultural industries through the annual Arts Round Table music industry conference, which is powered by FNB Eswatini.
The Arts Round Table is Eswatini’s foremost arts industry development workshop, promoting skills sharing, digital media development, and best practices throughout the continent. The 2023 edition also continues the dynamic partnership with the Berlin-based Africa Rising Music Conference (ARMC) for the second year running, enabling direct networking and connections between the European and African music markets. The MTN Bushfire Arts Round Table workshop will be held on Friday May 26, 2023, House on Fire in Malkerns.
Speaking on behalf of FNB Eswatini at the cheque handover ceremony at House On Fire yesterday, FNB Eswatini Marketing Manager Nqobile Ndlangamandla shared that the bank will continue to show its commitment in developing the local arts industry. “The bank has a long-standing commitment to play our part in developing the local arts and creative industry as well as small businesses. We believe that our involvement in this initiative will go a long way in helping artists learn the necessary skills to take their creative arts businesses and music careers to new heights,” Ndlangamandla said.
“Investing in the development of arts and music Eswatini continues to be a key area of support for FNB. As a bank we understand the role the Arts play in the creative economy of any nation, and each year we see Eswatini and its people come alive in the celebration of music and the creative arts through the MTN Bushfire festival. Not only does this event bring global artists to our local stages, but it also shines a light on local artists who are making an impact through song, dance and art,” added Ndlangamandla.
MTN Bushfire’s Arts Round Table 2023 will host speakers from the region and around the world, all with expertise across various pillars of the music business ecosystem. This year’s themes will centre around Women’s Voices through amplifying them in the music business, exchange between Africa and the world, developing, understanding, and creating new opportunities. This year, the Arts Round Table will centre around four key topics which are; developing independence, empowering female voices, building bridges and night-time safety.
