FRANS, THABILE MYENI, MANCOBA TOUR THE UK
MBABANE – Gospel trio of Frans Dlamini, Mancoba Dlamini and Thabile Myeni are currently on tour in the United Kingdom.
They left the kingdom on March 6, their first stop was Dubai, where they had their first show before continuing to Birmingham in the UK. The trio has been in that country from March 10 until this date. When quizzed on how all this came about, they shared with this publication that it was through an invitation that came after they released their new music.
“The three of us were fresh from releasing our latest project when we were invited to perform in Dubai and the UK and we have been here ever since. Frans Dlamini released a song titled ‘Noma Indlela Inohlupho’, Mancoba released one titled ‘Ngenelela Kulesimo’ all produced in Eswatini and Thabile recorded a full album at Music Is Life Studios in Johannesburg, which has not been released but it is being promoted,” said Dlamini.

The trip is courtesy of Makholisa Promotions, which is a music production company based in Zimbabwe and the organiser invited them because he loved what the trio showcased two years prior when they were invited in Zimbabwe, Bulawayo. The aim of the project is to promote the origin of artists, where they come from. The initiative was originally started in Zimbabwe but when COVID-19 hit, everything came to a halt. The targeted places are churches, radio stations and live shows where the trio is able to reach a large audience, at the same time.
“We have had three live shows ever since leaving home, Eswatini including Dubai, South End on sea and Stock and our last one will be in Birmingham,” further said Dlamini. The big and known churches that they have visited include; Leeds in London, Manchester and Wolverhampton. They will have their very last show on May 27 and the tickets to that show have been sold out and they were selling for 15 pounds (E361.65) and the trio will be jetting back to the kingdom on June 2.
