FOUR INFLUENCERS FOR ESWATINI FOOD COMPETITION
MBABANE - Eswatini Foods is running an exciting influencer challenge over the next six weeks, which began last week.
Each week, influencers will be given a product from any one of the over 30 products from Eswatini Foods and they will have 72 hours to create a recipe and post it every Friday between 4pm and 6pm on their Instagram pages. The influencer who gets the most likes on their Instagram posts at the end of the challenge wins. It’s worth mentioning that influencers are not allowed to boost their posts through paid adverts, so likes will be generated organically. The four influencers are; The Bonnet Chef (2 923 followers), Justina Bain (806 followers), The Hungry Hun (2 330 followers), and Chef Eric Malinga (1 383 followers).
Eswatini Food is a proudly African fair-trade producer of natural gourmet food based in the kingdom. It produces a wide range of quality products. Some of the products include the award-winning Swazi Fire Hot Chilli Sauce as well as Eswatini Chutneys, Eswatini Jams, and Marmalades.
The company has partnered with the Woman Farmer Foundation, a non-governmental organisation in Eswatini that addresses both the empowerment of rural based women and youth through the agricultural sector to mitigate the effects of rural poverty. When you buy a Eswatini Foods product, you are supporting a network of several hundred emaSwati.
Benefits
This initiative is the first of its kind and the power as well as the importance of social media will be revealed because connectivity is among its most significant benefits. “Get ready because on June 2, 2023, the competition kicks off with our very first product, our delicious lime marmalade. As Eswatini Foods, we are excited to see what the influencers come up with, so keep your eyes on the influencers’ social media pages! We encourage everyone to show their favourite influencers some love.
Discover a new influencer whose work you may not be familiar with. Check out the posts, like, share, follow and comment,” said the Woman Farmer Foundation’s Communications Officer, Mpumalanga Zwane. This is a fun way to introduce the public to our different products, while also showcasing Swati talent through the influencers’ dishes and creativity. “There is not much to say except, good luck and may the best influencer win,” Zwane further said.
