Mbabane - A chance to shine.

Local emerging artists who are hoping to have their music played on a large international platform might have a chance to get that privilege through Africa Now Radio’s latest segment.
Africa Now Radio Station is a streaming radio station on Apple Music 1 that is a progressive weekly radio show that focuses on issues concerning Africa. The station has a programme called Africa Now, hosted by South African actress and singer Nandi Madida, where she presents the latest African sounds. The show has a new segment in which upcoming and emerging artists can get their music played on the show and listened to by the entire world, thereby getting exposure.

Invitation

The invitation for emerging artists to grab this opportunity to feature on this segment is open to all artists from around the world. Artists from our kingdom can also try their luck and get an opportunity to share their talent with the entire world. Commenting on the news of this segment featuring a local and upcoming DJ, The prefect said she thinks getting such an opportunity would grow emerging artists: “I think any Eswatini emerging artist would benefit gravely if they were to ever get such an opportunity because of the exposure they get from having their music listened to by the world.”A local rapper who is also an emerging artist who has created a name for himself in the music industry and has performed at big festivals such as the MTN Bushfire, Korrosive Da MC, also had a thought to share. He said, “Anything to help get the music out is an opportunity worth exploring, and I think we should chat more about such things so that we get up to speed on exploring opportunities that are going to help build us as artists.”The host, Nandi, took to Instagram to announce this new segment by Africa Now Radio and said that it aims to shine a light for the world to hear talented emerging artists from around the world. To get an opportunity to feature on the programme, interested emerging artists can tag themselves and share a link of their work on Nandi’s post about the segment and tune into the show on Apple Music every Friday at 9 a.m. to see if they made it and if the world gets a chance to hear their music.
