Experience

However, before he took over the stage, this publication had a brief interview with him where he was asked to share his experience of being in Eswatini for the show, and he narrated that the country remains his second home. “I’m always here, so it feels like my second home. I’ve been here a lot of times, so yes, it feels like home. The people of Eswatini continue to show me genuine love, and I don’t want to disappoint them, so whenever they call, I make sure that I make myself available. I always enjoy my shows when I am here, and this is due to the genuine love that they show for me. They support my music, and they always give the energy that continuously encourages me to come through,” Sir Trill said. Sir Trill is one of the most celebrated musicians, especially in the Amapiano genre.

When asked where he draws his inspiration, he narrated that classic music and his family played a role in making him the star he is today. “I draw it mostly from classic music since this is music that is still relevant even today. Also, I come from a family that is known for singing. This is definitely where it all started. Growing up, I used to attend church with the family, and singing was a thing of the family. Such a background made me the person I am today; I have always loved singing, and it’s more than a gift now,” Sir Trill said. The musician recently made headlines with a collaboration that he did with podcaster and musician Mac G, P-Tempo, EmjayKeyz, and Bailey RSA titled ‘Nkantin’. This song made waves not only in the SA industry also in the local industry. He shared that this song was inspired by good times. “That song was inspired by fun; it’s a song that describes that special mood where one decides to have fun and just let loose. When you are in the club, most people will want to see what kind of drink you are having.

Inspired

“The idea of coming up with such a song was inspired by the groove. When you are in the company of fun lovers, you definitely want to go big. Going big means having that dream drink that you always wanted to have in your dreams. I’ve always been in love with spirits, so it was easy for me to come up with such lyrics, and fortunately, people fell in love with the idea, and this is so humbling for me,” the musician said. The show was well attended; patrons came in large numbers to witness Sir Trill’s performance. Patrons were well cushioned with ‘Qolo Lami’ hitmaker Sparks Bantwana warming up the stage at 12 midnight, followed by SA duo Love Devotion, who took the stage at 2am and performed for an hour. The show ended at 4am., captained by Zhumiao Lounge residents DJs.
