MBABANE – South African (SA) versatile duo Lemon and Herb is set to thrill fans on February 25 at Sundeck in Manzini.

This will be during the Corona Experience show, organised by veteran Banele Dlamini. Lemon and Herb is an Afro-house music power-house producer/deejay collective. Lemon and Herb met up in university while studying Electrical and Mechanical Engineering at the Durban University of Technology in 2005, where they bonded over their passion for House music. During their demanding varsity schedule they always made time to sit back and listen to the latest tunes and get to the studio.

Patience

After much patience and nurturing Lemon and Herb felt that they had reached a certain level of maturity in music production and it was time for the masses to hear their interpretation of House music. They released their first EP Zero Ground through their own label, Mixed In Motion Recordings, on Afrodesiamp3, with one of the tracks being remixed by Ndinga Gaba.

However, their break came when they entered and won a South African Remix Competition organized by the Atjazz Record Company together with Nitefeva.com. The remix competition required participant from South Africa to do a remix of Love Someone by Atjazz and Robert Owens. The remix was released on traxsource and led to more work forLemon and Herb.

Trending

According to the organiser of the show Banele Dlamini, the Corona Experience is an edition that is currently trending in South Africa and they are introducing it locally through inviting Lemon and Herb. “It is trending experience in SA we introducing he journey of it locally it is not the first but a lot. We urge music lovers to enjoy this experience and Lemon and herb are now an international brand are scarce,” Dlamini said.

He further mentioned that getting the Corona Experience into the kingdom was a milestone, since it was amazing.
“Having this experience in the kingdom is a success on its own. Its an amazing experience and journey that will leave a mark in the local industry. We are confident that we will be having more editions of this experience,” he said.

Performing

Worth mentioning is the fact that Lemon and Herb will be performing in the country for the first time in 2024.
Last year they were booked alongside ShaSha, Sir Trill and Blaq Diamond for the Lubombo Musik Festivita, which was to be held at KaLanga Technical Centre. However, they ended up not performing due to bad weather which cased the show to be cancelled.
