MBABANE – The upcoming MoMo Xperience event promises to revolutionise the way patrons attend and enjoy events.

The first headliner of the event was announced as Ami Faku and the musical genius to close off the show is Murdah Bongz. Bongani Mohosana known professionally as Mörda or Murdah Bongz, is a South African DJ, record producer, singer and dancer. He is best known for being a former member of the musical band Black Motion. In an interview with this publication, Culolam Dlamini, the Founder of local entertainment stable Melting C, which partnered with Fintech, shared his vision of bringing a world-class day event to the kingdom with a powerful line-up. What sets this event apart is its aim to showcase the potential of cashless transactions through MoMo Pay. Customers attending the MoMo Xperience will have the convenience of using MoMo for everything from purchasing tickets to buying any services inside the event.

Collaboration

This innovative approach is a collaboration between Melting C and MTN Fintech, with the event being curated exclusively for MTN MoMo users. During the launch of the MTN MoMo Xperience, which was over a month ago at the MTN Golf Club House in Ezulwini, it was revealed that MoMo Xperience is a day-long celebration of music and arts, featuring both local and international artists. The event is designed to enable families to enjoy themselves and make purchases and other financial transactions without the need for physical cash.
All purchases and payments within the event will be done through MoMo, making it a cashless experience like no other. It is also worth mentioning that the first headliner will be performing during the day at this event.

Significance

MTN Fintech CEO Sam Shongwe, highlighted the significance of the event, stating, “This is an event created for you as a MoMo Customer to have fun the whole day with your whole family. “The unique element of this event is that it is cashless. Families can enjoy themselves the whole day, make purchases and conduct financial transactions without touching physical cash. It’s all possible with MoMo. Think MoMo and do MoMo,” he said.
