YOUNG ZESH CLEARS AIR ON ‘ARTISTS CAUSING TRAFFIC’

MBABANE – Young Zesh says the statement he made about artists causing traffic in the industry was directed at his enemies, not all creatives in the industry.

Young Zesh made the statement about artists causing traffic in the music industry during a podcast interview he had on ‘What’s the Story Eswatini’, which is a podcast hosted by Banele WJLM. According to Young Zesh and Upscale Live, the statement was directed at his enemies, who are in the music industry. “When I said some artists are causing traffic, they should go and find jobs, I was directing the message to my enemies, not everyone. ‘‘I think people misunderstood me when I said it because there was only one person who raised a concern about it. In the previous days, people were dissing each other, and they would say whatever they liked.

‘‘I did not mind what they were saying about me; I just minded my own business, but now that I’ve made such a statement, people are concerned,” he said. The musician further reflected on what happened before he was invited to the podcast. He mentioned that there were artists that approached him and left him emotionally damaged. “Everyone has enemies, and as artists, we do have enemies. My message was meant for my enemies. When I was about to do the podcast, there were people whom I would not like to reveal their names because they would say I was exposing them.

‘‘These are not upcoming but seasoned artists who told me that they can see I am telling myself that I am the best artist in the kingdom. They said they were coming for me, they wanted to push me until I fell off. They also told me that I do not have money, I am broke. ‘‘They also said, can I buy them a bottle worth E800? This was their way of proving that I do not have money. This thing damaged me emotionally, so my message was directed to these people,” the musician said.
