FASHION INDABA, A YEAR-ROUND FASHION PROGRAMME FOR LUJU

MBABANE – This year’s Standard Bank Luju Food and Lifestyle Festival will feature a ‘Fashion Indaba’ and a ‘Year-round fashion programme’ to celebrate the revolutionary power of fashion.

This was revealed through the Luju Festival social media pages, where it was mentioned that the revolutionary power of fashion will be celebrated through ‘African Futurism’. This is a celebratory artistic and cultural movement that embraces African history and heritage, blending fantasy and futuristic concepts to envision a future driven by Africans. The year-round fashion programme that is being introduced for this year’s Luju edition is aimed at enhancing the creative sector as part of Luju Festival’s commitment to nurturing the Eswatini fashion industry and supporting the growth of local designers.

Ideation

“One of the key components of the programme is the content journey, made possible through the support of our content partner, Kulture Xchange. From ideation to production, the content journey follows each Luju designer as they put together the dynamic and striking collections that will be showcased on the Luju runway,” reads the post.
