MANZINI - Pupils from different schools across the four regions of the country experienced a first-hand lecture from the Khoisan Tribe.

The tribe from Botswana arrived on Wednesday afternoon through the Ngwenya Border Post, and yesterday they had a very interesting lecture about their way of life for pupils in the country. The pupils who attended the Educational Open Lecture left the arena much more informed about the way the Khoisan live and their history. They learnt many lessons from how the tribe comes up with their dances to how they hunt. After the open lecture, the pupils were given a chance to pose questions to the tribe.

Protected

One pupil from Salesian Primary asked how they protected themselves while hunting. One of the members from the Khoisan replied that they had a song titled ‘Lion,’ which they sang to the lions and they would calm down and share their meat with them. Instacash also had a quiz for the pupils after the lecture, where they had E5 000 cash prize up for grabs. Instacash had spilt the in half for primary and high school.
