MOTHER OF GOSPEL WINNERS COLANI, GCEBILE ANNOUNCE SHOWS
MBABANE – Mother of All Gospel Shows winners Colani Sihlongonyane and Gcebile Maseko are set to host their debut shows in August and September.
Maseko won the Mother of All Gospel Shows in 2023, and Sihlongonyane won the competition this year. Sihlongonyane will be the headline act during the upcoming ‘Worship Encounter’, scheduled for August 30 at Lubuli Hall, next to Lubuli High School. On the other hand, Maseko will be hosting a one-woman show themed ‘The Season of Grace’, at the Light of Christ Auditorium at Matsapha, on September 29.
Seasoned
During the show at Lubuli Hall, Sihlongonyane will share the stage with seasoned Gospel artists such as Nduduzo Matse, Sphiwo Ndoni, Mrs Vee and Big Bend We Praise. According to Sihlongonyane, he is looking forward to delivering the best during the show and people should come in numbers to witness him perform live. “I feel very anxious towards the upcoming show, at the same time, I am a little delightful, since this is a big show for me. I have never headlined before in my life, so I feel much honoured for this one.“I am looking forward to an incredible show, and I encourage people to come in numbers,” he said.Maseko, who will be hosting her one-woman show, also shared that she is excited and looking forward to giving praise alongside her fans.
Excited
“I am so excited about this show, since it’s also my first edition of a one-woman show. This means a lot in my life, as I will also be giving praise to my fans, and there’s no better happiness than this. “I am looking forward to the presence of God more than anything, since we are because he is. It is not by favour or might. “This show is about grace, we are celebrating a season of grace, hence the verse quoted in the poster. “Romans 11verses 5: Even at this present time there is a remnant chosen by grace, not by work. This verse means we are embracing and appreciating God more than anything, dwelling and enjoying in his presence,” she said.
Prestigious
The two Gospel musicians were groomed by award-winning Gospel musician Matse, under the prestigious Mother of All Gospel Shows, which is a concept aimed at exposing young and youthful Gospel artist in the industry. The concept has now produced several Gospel artists, such as Ntsandvoyenkhosi Ngcamphalala, Lindwayinkhosi Mpila, Sivile Vilakati, Sibonginkhosi Ntshangase and Saneliso Matsebula, to name a few. All these musicians have successfully recorded demos with the support of the Eswatini National Council of Arts and Culture (ENCAC).
