MANZINI ARTS CENTRE IN PIPELINE
MBABANE - During a session in Parliament on Monday, the Minister of Sports, Culture and Youth Affairs unveiled a series of groundbreaking initiatives for the arts.
The ministry is set to transform the arts and culture landscape of the Kingdom of Eswatini. Among the revelations, the Minister Bongani Nzima shared plans for Manzini Arts Centre, a vibrant hub destined to incorporate state-of-the-art audio and visual recording facilities, music rehearsal spaces, podcast studios and a revolutionary music instrument bank, accessible to other cultural centres across the nation.

The significance of this ambitious project cannot be overstated. The Manzini Arts Centre promises to be a beacon of creativity and innovation, providing a nurturing environment for artists to hone their craft, collaborate and showcase their talents to local and international audiences. With a strong emphasis on accessibility, the facility’s music instrument bank, it was highlighted that this would serve as a valuable resource, ensuring that budding musicians and performers from various regions can access the tools they need to bring their artistic visions to life. This publication managed to speak to a few artists who were excited by this development and could not wait for the results. Mpendulo Dlamini who is an upcoming artist in the Manzini Region said, ‘’This will help us struggling artists to record our work with proper, state of the art equipment.’’
