OVER 1 000 NOMINATIONS FOR CONSUMER CHOICE AWARDS
MBABANE – This was revealed during the launch of the first Eswatini Consumer Choice Awards held at Sundowners in Matsapha.
This was said by the guest of honour at the launch of the awards, Princess Sakhizwe, who also mentioned that the awards will not only elevate local products, but also set a new standard of excellence in consumer confidence and satisfaction. “We are on the cusp of unveiling a new symbol for the Eswatini Consumer Choice Awards. The introduction of the Symbol of Excellence 2024 Award, which is an emblem of distinction that will proudly signify the pinnacle of quality and trustworthiness in our local industries,” she said. The princess went on to highlight that the awards are more than just awards; they are a powerful statement that ‘Proudly Eswatini’ products are the best choice a consumer could make in the coming year.

In her remarks, she also mentioned that the Symbol of Excellence is not merely a mark of achievement; it is an instantly recognisable symbol that will set products apart in the local marketplace. “The prestigious award is a beacon of quality that will shine brightly in our marketplace, offering unparalleled trust and credibility to both consumers and businesses. As we move forward, let us embrace this symbol with pride and use it to drive our commitment to local business excellence,” she concluded. Melusi ‘Zox’ Dlamini, the Chairman of Peculiar People, shared that the awards are a remarkable event that stand as a testament to their commitment to bridging the gap between consumers and the outstanding local products Eswatini has to offer.

The event will not only be an award ceremony but will offer a variety of sessions, including a business seminar.

The seminar will have a panel of discussions that will delve into a number of topics for entrepreneurs who will cover: ‘Where to Effectively Invest Your Time and Resources to Grow Your Business Effectively’ and will also focus on ‘Technology, Distribution, Retail Shelf Placement and Export Opportunities.’ Nozipho Masuku, the organisation’s Marketing trailblazer, shared some details about the event. “Having received over 1 100 nominations is truly an overwhelming response that underscores the vibrant talent and dedication within our local industries. Out of these, more than 100 local products have been nominated, highlighting the diversity and quality of our local offerings,” she added.
