LINDA’S ALBUM TO DEBUT ON SA’S 1 GOSPEL
MBABANE - Award-winning Gospel musician Linda Dlamini’s recent live recorded album ‘More than enough’ will debut tomorrow on 1 Gospel, DSTV channel 331.
The live recording titled ‘More Than Enough’ was recently done at The Luke Commission in Sidvokodvo. The successful recording attracted South African giant Gospel musicians such as Ntokozo Ngongoma, Nomthie Sibisi and Takie Ndou, who delivered vibrant performances on the day. Other musicians who formed part of the solid line up included Thabile Myeni, Nothando Dlamini, Putuma Tiso and Sihiwo Ndoni.
Other prominent guests that were spotted at the live recording include Eswatini National Arts and Culture (ENCAC) CEO Stanley Dlamini and Mbabane Alliance Church Reverend Dr. J.V. Mavimbela, who opened the event with a word of prayer. In a recent post shared on Facebook, Dlamini shared the new album ‘More than enough’ is almost ready to be released. “90 per cent loading. It’s been four years now, the time has come,” read his post. Two songs from the album will debut this Friday, titled ‘Emanuel’ and ‘Ungatikhandzi ungakashadi’.
Experience
During an interview with Linda Dlamini, he confirmed the album will be released on all digital platforms this Friday. “The music is officially coming out on Friday on all digital platforms (iTunes, Spotify, Deezer, Apple Music and YouTube). It’s an album that was recorded live at The Luke Commission Auditorium, titled ‘More than enough’. The first two songs to be released are ‘Emmanuel (God with Us)’ and ‘Ungatikhandz’ ungakashadi’ song,” he said.
He further reflected on the upcoming debut of the album on 1 Gospel this Friday, citing it’s going to be an amazing experience. “Watching myself on television is really a good feeling, because I get motivated by my work. I don’t get used to it because everyone is watching and such platforms are not easy to get. The music will be playing on 1 Gospel, Channel 331, and also on Moja love and Trace Gospel,” Dlamini said.
One of the memorable highlights during the live recording was a collaboration Dlamini did with the Manzini Choir, on one song. When asked what inspired such a performance, he shared that he was once a chorister. “I started in Choral music and have been a member of Manzini Choir. With this collaboration, I wanted to check if we could do something beautiful. It is something that I had always wanted to do with the choir, and I am glad that the dream finally came alive,” he said.
