MBABANE – Lubombo regional winners were awarded as part of the National Arts and Culture Awards (NACAs) on Friday.

Some of the winners who walked away with certificates include Gospel sensation Lucia Kate, Buhle Matsenjwa, Criss Tino, Africa Dlamini and soloist Mantimakhulu Saneliso. The winners were also announced on the active NACA Facebook page, where they were applauded for their hard work. “Congratulations to the NACA Lubombo regional winners. It was an honour to witness your hard work and dedication being recognised. Your passion and talent is a true inspiration to us all, and we can’t wait to see what the future holds for you. Cheers to your success,” read the post. According to Eswatini National Council of Arts and Culture (ENCAC) Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Stanley Dlamini, the awards honour those who have made outstanding contributions to the arts industry.

Honours

‘‘The NACAs are an event that honours individuals and organisations that have made outstanding contributions to the arts and culture industry in Eswatini. We are happy for the winners and we believe they will be an inspiration to others,” Dlamini said. In keeping with the council’s commitment to development and creating opportunities for all, the Regional Awards will see renowned host KrTC share the stage with upcoming hosts from each region. In a bid to uplift the next generation, this partnership not only adds to the excitement of the awards, but also allows KrTC to pass on his expertise and guidance, helping to develop the next generation of talented hosts.  “It is vital that we invest in our youth and this partnership is a step towards nurturing future stars,” Dlamini said.
