MBABANE - The National Arts and Culture Awards (NACAs) are thrilled to announce they have secured sponsorship from His Excellency General Alh-Hadji Hissein-MD AGIC of Burkina Faso.
In a generous move, the General has donated E500 000 towards this year’s awards ceremony, which was officially presented yesterday at Mountain View Hotel during a virtual meeting. This significant contribution arrives at a pivotal moment for the NACAs, set to take place in just one month’s time. His Excellency General Alh-Hadji Hissein-MD AGIC’s donation exemplifies his unwavering commitment to cultural promotion and women’s empowerment—values that resonate deeply with the National Arts and Culture Council in Eswatini.

This initiative is expected to provide both nations with a richer cultural landscape. Stanley Dlamini, CEO of the Eswatini National Council of Arts and Culture (ENCAC), articulated his gratitude to the general for his contribution, noting that this relationship began in April. “Seeing this relationship come to fruition is encouraging,” he said.
