MBABANE - On a momentous Friday, the Mavuso Trade and Exhibition Centre buzzed with excitement as it hosted the 10th graduation ceremony of Limkokwing University of Creative Technology.

This year, the event was marked not only by the academic achievements of numerous students but also by the presence of several beloved local entertainment personalities who celebrated their own milestones. Among the notable graduates was Siphesihle Dlamini better known as Festival B, a local poet whose work has resonated deeply within his community.

Sentiments

Dlamini shared his sentiments about the journey leading to graduation, emphasising the hard work and dedication that paved the way for this significant achievement. “It was no walk in the park. I am glad to have come this far. I have been waiting for this moment all my life. This degree means a lot to me and it is so satisfying to see my hard work pay off and make my family proud,”  he said. Joining Dlamini in the celebration was fellow graduate Temalangeni Dlamini who expressed her joy and optimism for the future and reflecting on her personal journey. “This surely feels like a big achievement.

Despite all the struggles that I went through, I am so proud of me and I am hoping only for the best from now on,” she said. The ceremony was not just a gathering of graduates but it was a celebration of dreams fulfilled. Other entertainment personalities who proudly walked across the stage included Onicah Mansoor, Mnqobi Tsabedze, Zwelankosi Msibi, and Didi Mshengu. Each of these individuals has made a mark in the entertainment industry and their accomplishments serve as an inspiration to many aspiring artists in Eswatini.

Graduates

As the graduates tossed their caps in the air, the atmosphere was filled with hope and determination. The presence of these local celebrities at the ceremony highlights the intersection of academia and the arts, demonstrating that success in one’s passion can be complemented by formal education. As they embark on new chapters in their lives the community eagerly anticipates the contributions these graduates will bring to Eswatini’s cultural landscape.
