INDIAN FILM FESTIVAL IN ESWATINI
MBABANE - This trip will be awarded to 15 lucky winners who know India best.
This trip is part of the Indian Film festival which first premiered on Sunday at the Movie Zone Cinemas. People who are interested in this all expenses paid trip just have to visit the Bharat Ko Janiye (BKJ) online quiz which is back for its 5th edition this year and promises to be more exciting than ever. Scheduled to run from November 11 to December 11, this unique initiative offers participants the chance to win an all-expenses-paid, two-week trip to India. The BKJ quiz aims to deepen participants’ understanding of India’s rich heritage, history, culture, art and crafts. Lucky emaSwati can increase their chances of winning this trip by attending the Indian Film Festival every Monday at the Movie Zone cinema. The movies that are screened at the festival will help participants gain more knowledge of the Indian culture.
The quiz is open to foreign nationals aged 14 to 50 and it is comprised of 30 multiple choice questions to be completed in just 16 to 17 minutes. There is no negative marking for the quiz and participants can attempt the quiz as many times as they wish with only their best score counting towards the final tally. Registration is mandatory for eligible contestants and participants can take the quiz from anywhere in the world during the competition period. The top 15 winners in each category will be invited to experience a remarkable journey through India, commencing with the Pravasi Bharatiya Diwas (PBD) celebrations in 2025.
The Indian Commission Second Secretary, Sriram, urged emaSwati to participate in this quiz. “This initiative not only aims to encourage knowledge about India but also seeks to foster a sense of community among participants. The Government of India will cover airfare and local hospitality ensuring a truly unforgettable experience. Additionally, every participant will receive a digital certificate of participation recognising their involvement in this enriching endeavour,” he said. The press secretary also encouraged everyone to spread the word on social media and beyond, as the internet influence can significantly contribute to making this quiz a resounding success. The High Commission of India in Eswatini wishes for everyone to unite and work towards breaking participation records and celebrating the diverse culture of India.
